Recently, The Legacy at Cary Creek hosted the 3rd annual Residents Christmas Party and Holiday Gathering. Over 50 residents, family members and guests enjoyed an amazing time of fellowship, food and fun at the annual gathering that has become one of the community’s favorite events.
Guests were welcomed with fine cheeses and charcuterie upon arrival and dinner included Roasted Beef Tenderloin (special recipe prepared by Brooke Pierce), Twice Baked Potato Casserole, Holiday Salad, Shrimp Pasta Salad, Green Bean Bundles (made by Judie Cherry), and warm dinner rolls. Dessert included peppermint bark, mini cheesecake bites, Mama’s Secrets, and a very special secret “Ursula’s Cake” – a dacquoise dessert cake made with layers of almond and hazelnut meringue and buttercream on a buttery biscuit base.
Residents enjoyed a great meal, fine wine, warm apple cider refreshments, and Christmas music. It was a special time to enjoy our neighbors, talk about the future and meet some new friends. The end of the night was capped off with a game of “Dirty Santa” where each participant brought an edible gift that was up for grabs during the game. The highlight of the game was the chocolate cake that was “stolen” a record of 6 times.
